Dele Momodu, Davido reconcile almost two years after social media spat
It was a touching scenario when Ovation publisher, Dele Momodu and singer Davido reconciled after their falling out on social media in December 2015.
Dele Momodu announced the development on Instagram appreciating Davido’s father,
Tunji Adeleke , for facilitating the peace.
He wrote:
“True reconciliation, great joy… God bless Davido … God bless Dr Adedji Adeleke for his uncommon maturity… God bless the Momodu family for that simple heart… We are a family.”
The singer, born David Adeleke, had hit out at Momodu over baby mama drama involving both of them.
Davido has a daughter with Sophie Momodu, who is a niece of the Ovation boss.
The pair got entangled over
Davido’s attempt to take daughter, Imade, out of the country without the permission of the mother.
At the time, Davido and Sophie were also involved in a back and forth on social media, with the former accusing the latter of taking drugs while tending to the baby.
Following Momodu’s intervention and the subsequent face-off between him and Davido, the singer would later take a swipe at the veteran journalist on ‘Bahd Baddo Baddest’, a song by Falz.
“Mr Dele na my boy Dele na my boy,” he sang on the hit track.
Davido and Momodu’s reconciliation was made public at the annual Ovation Christmas carol which took place at the weekend.
