Solange And Bruno Mars Lead The 2017 Soul Train Awards Nominations

Younger sister of singer Beyoncé, Solange is the most nominated artist for the 2017 Soul Train Awards with an impressive seven nominations — including best R&B/soul female artist and video and song of the year for her single “Cranes in the Sky.”

Coming in right behind her six nods is Bruno Mars — including nods for song of the year for “That’s What I Like” and album/mixtape of the year for 24K Magic.

At this year’s ceremony, taking place Nov. 5 in Las Vegas, Toni Braxton will receive the Don Cornelius Legend Award while R&B trio SWV will honored with the Lady of Soul Award.

Both awards recognize longstanding careers and influence.
