Manchester United's Memphis Depay nearing move to Lyon

Lyon have announced Memphis Depay has arrived in the city to discuss personal terms ahead of completing his move from Manchester United.

The seven-time Ligue 1 champions posted late on Wednesday a picture of Depay being greeted by Florian Maurice, OL's head of recruitment, on their official website and Twitter channel.

"The Netherlands international Memphis Depay has arrived in Lyon to discuss the terms of his future contract with OL, and will be assisted by his agents who'll arrive on Thursday," a brief statement under the photo read.

Earlier in the day, OL president Jean-Michel Aulasconfirmed his club had agreed a fee with United, thought to be in the region of €17 million.

"At the start of the afternoon, I obtained from Manchester United the agreement in principle, which remains to be ironed out, but is on a higher basis than the information being circulated," Aulas told L'Equipe.
